Top Android Homescreen May 3rd Edition: Flash

May 3, 2015 - Written By Justin Diaz

We’re back with another top homescreen for you all this week, giving you something to customize your phones for the next six days, or perhaps longer if you like to keep things for a little while. This week’s pick is called Flash, and comes from an individual named Betinho on Mycolorscreen. Like all the homescreen picks we feature, you’ll need a few things to recreate the look on your own device if you like the style, and we’ll tell you what you need as well as give you the basics of how to set it up.

First things first, you’re going to need a third-party home launcher to customize the homescreen of your device, we recommend Nova Prime since that is what is used by the creator. You’ll also need to pick up Zooper Widgets Pro to apply the widget skins. The last two apps you’ll need to grab are simple RSS widget, and Media Utilities to configure media controls to the music player portion of the widget skin. Don’t forget to grab the widget skin itself, which you can pick up from the Play Store here at this link.

Once you have everything installed, first go into Nova settings and configure your homescreen grid to 10 x 8, then navigate to the amount of homescreen pages and make sure you set it to three as there will be three total widgets with one per page. The last couple parts are fairly simple. Just long press on the homescreen, select apply widget, scroll to find Zooper and select any size as you can just resize to the full screen after the fact, find and select the ‘Flash’ Zooper skin for each page. Lastly, go into Media Utilities, navigate to settings, select Zooper, cover art, sound progress, and then hit done. That’s about it for this homescreen. Don’t forget to show some appreciation on the mycolorscreen page for the hard work from the creator, and as always have a great week and happy theming!
