Top Android Homescreen May 31st: City Dream

It's Sunday, and that means we have another homescreen design for everyone to check out. If you like it, apply it and give your homescreen a fresh new look. Just like with all of our picks we'll tell you what you need to have to recreate this design for yourself, and we'll give you the basics of how to set it up so you can get this new look on your phone. This pick comes from Behemoth at mycolorscreen and the design is called City Cream.

First and foremost, you'll need to make sure you have a few different apps installed to make these customizations. A third party home launcher is needed, and Nova Prime is the recommended choice. You'll also need to download and install Zooper Widget Pro, and Media Utilities. Lastly, you'll need the Zooper skin itself which you can grab from the Play Store here.

Now for the setup which is relatively simple. First, navigate into your Nova settings, open up the homscreen grid options and make sure you grid size is set to 10 x 5. Exit back into the main page of Nova settings and remove the dock, remove the scrollbar, and that should be it as far as Nova configurations go. Next go back to the homescreen and long press to add a new widget. Scroll and select Zooper Widget Pro, then simply select any size widget as you'll just be resizing it to fit the specified sizes for each widget anyway, which are 5 x 2 for the top widget with the search bar, 5 x 5 for the middle widget with the music controls on the side, and 5 x 3 for the last widget with your quick access to different apps. Once you have your widget size selected, select the City Dream skin and apply it. then resize and repeat those steps till all three widgets are on the homescreen. For the Media Utilities configurations, enter into the app, navigate to settings, select Zooper Widget, select use alternative data collection, select attempt direct control, select Maker Cover Art available, and finally select Send Song Progress. That's it. You should now have the City Dream Zooper skin applied, have a great rest of the weekend and happy theming!!
