Top Android Homescreen May 10th: Glass Material

We've got another great looking homescreen for you tinkerers this weekend, so if you're feeling a little bored with your current setup you can switch things up with this design called Glass Material from 21Marco12. As with many of our weekly picks we found this design on mycolorscreen, and like every design we feature we'll be telling you what apps you need so you can recreate this look on your own device as well as the basics of how to set it up.

First things first, as always you'll need a third-party home launcher to customize the look of your homescreen, and this design recommends Nova Prime. You'll also need to grab Zooper Widgets Pro, Tasker, and Media Utilities so you can configure the music controls for the music player portion of the widget. Once you have all of those installed, don't forget to grab the Zooper skin itself, which you can pick up over at the Play Store.

Now that you have all the needed apps and files, you should be ready to configure everything. Start by heading into your Nova settings and change your desktop grid to 10 x 6 and make sure there are no margins. After this, go ahead and disable the dock, then hide the notification bar and disable the show shadow option. Before you leave Nova settings make sure you have three home pages total. Now go to your home screen and long press to select add widgets, then select Zooper, scroll and select the 6 x 1 Zooper widget and then resize it to fit the entire screen. Now tap on the widget and select the Glass Material skins as desired from the Glass Material theme folder. You can place them in the exact same order as described in the Play Store listing, or you can reorganize them to your liking. Once you have the widgets placed, go into Media Utilities and enter the settings, then select integration with Zooper widget, select coverart available and select song progress and hit done. For the Tasker configurations, follow the easy steps set out by 21Marco12 on the Play Store page for the Zooper skin. That's it. Have a good rest of the weekend and happy theming!!
