Samsung Releases New Mother's Day Ad, Reminds Everyone to Call Our Moms on Sunday

This Sunday is Mother's day. As most of you probably know. Samsung thinks it's important for all of us to call our moms this Sunday, and we agree. In the ad, which is embedded down below, you'll see a ton of people getting texts from their moms. And it's quite obvious that most moms don't know how to work these smartphones these days, which is understandable considering they have a billion features. The ad is quite clever, and I'm sure many of us, if not all of us can relate to it.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge makes an appearance in this ad. Of course, why wouldn't it? As Samsung is trying to market the Galaxy S6 Edge as much as possible. The Galaxy S6 Edge has a 5.1-inch 2560x1440 resolution Super AMOLED display. It's powered by the Exynos 7420 octa-core processor, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It also has a somewhat small 2600mAh battery inside. Samsung has forgone the microSD card slot and removable battery this time around. However, we do have an amazing 16MP camera on the back that does take some pretty amazing shots. The specs of the Galaxy S6 are identical, although it has a slightly smaller 2550mAh battery inside. With the Edge, there's some pretty interesting features, like People Edge, and Desk Clock. The Desk Clock is my personal favorite and use it at night next to my bed. It's pretty sweet actually.

The Galaxy S6 Edge is available on AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular. It's going for $299 on a new two-year contract, or about $699 off contract. It's a pretty pricey beast, but it's definitely worth it, in my opinion.

Additionally, with this ad, if you relate to some of these texts from Mom, you can win a Galaxy S6 Edge. The funniest "mom text" will win a Galaxy S6 Edge. Here's what you need to do. Follow @SamsungMobileUS on Twitter, and post the funny texts with the #TextsFromMom hashtag. And that's it. Obviously, since this is involving the Samsung Mobile US Twitter account, this is only open to US residents. So those of you outside the US, you won't be able to enter, unfortunately.
