The Russian Dual-Display YotaPhone 2 gets a price cut, Lollipop, and a White Color

Russia's most popular and world's first Dual-Display Android Smartphone, YotaPhone 2 got the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Yota is a Russian Mobile Broadband service provider as well as a big player in smartphone manufacturing in Russia. YotaPhone 2 is a powerful Smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 that runs on aa Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU and an Adreno 330 GPU. Apart from being a Russian device, the specialty of YotaPhone is that it features two displays at the same time. An AMOLED display is housed at the front of the smartphone and an E-Ink display is at its back. The E-Ink capacitive touch screen display is a grey-scale, always-on display, that consumes very less power.

The front AMOLED display is a 5.0 inches FullHD 1080 x 1920 pixels touch display. The E-Ink display has a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and can be easily used in direct sunlight. Yota claims that their E-Ink display has the best sunlight legibility in all the Android devices available. Surely this claim can be satisfied due to the greyscale nature of their secondary display. YotaPhone 2 also packs 2 GB of RAM with a 32 GB Internal Storage.YotaPhone 2 comes with a 2500 mAh Battery which is surprisingly enough, keeping in mind the two displays in which one is an always-on screen. The battery easily gives you more than a day of normal usage.  The YotaPhone was announced with Android KitKat 4.4.3 out of the box and is now upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Originally available only in Black Color, the YotaPhone 2 is now available in an elegant White color.

The white color appeals more and catches your eye as well as catches your information with the perfectly contrasted E-ink display. Its the sides and the back that is white, whereas the front is still black. The contrast looks beautiful and is much more appealing. Along with the introduction of a new color and an announcement for the Lollipop Update, Yota has also reduced the price of its dual-display phone. The device now goes for £440 in the United Kingdom which is hundred pounds less than the original price, whereas in other European countries you can get your YotaPhone 2 for â‚¬599. YotaPhone now more beautiful, advanced and cheaper is definitely a package not to be missed. Do tell us what you think about it below.
