Panasonic's Eluga L 4G Mid-Ranger Released In India

Panasonic is a very well-known brand all over the world, but they're definitely not the first company you'll think of when it comes to smartphones, tablets, etc. Panasonic is, however, trying to make it in the smartphone market. We've already talked about the company's Eluga L 4G handset earlier this month, when the device was unveiled. Back then, the company said that the Eluga L 4G is aimed at the Indian market, and that it will launch there first, but they did not say if they intend to push it to other markets as well.

Either way, this handset has now launched in India for Rs. 12,990 ($205). The Panasonic Eluga L 4G is not a high-end offering by the company, but it's a very well built mid-ranger. The Eluga L 4G features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS OGS display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). This thing is powered by the Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor which ships with an Adreno 306 GPU. The 8-megapixel camera is located on the back of the device, while there's a 5-megapixel shooter available on the front side of this device. The 2,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and same can be said about 4G LTE connectivity. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this handset with some of Panasonic's touches added on top of it. The device measures 142 x 71 x 6.1mm and weighs 110 grams.

"Panasonic India has now signaled a big leap in its product portfolio by bringing better specifications and features in the newly launched Eluga L which not only caters to the fast developing technological needs in the market but is also priced reasonably. With the company's recent success in the smartphones category and the mobility landscape rapidly evolving today, the new device will surely match the needs of our fast evolving consumers in the country," said Manish Sharma, Managing Director at Panasonic India. There you have it folks, the Eluga L 4G is a new addition to the ever-growing Indian smartphone market. The device is available in Radiant Blue color and is priced at Rs. 12,990 ($205), while you'll also get a screen guard and a protective case with this device in India should you choose to purchase it.
