Due to the company's success in 2014, which also continued to the first quarter of this year, Meizu received a number of investments earlier this year. Both Alibaba and MediaTek decided to invest in this China-based smartphone manufacturer, and it remains to be seen what comes next for the company. Meizu has entered the Indian market recently by launching their M1 Note handset, and its successor seems to be in the cards. Meizu has already announced that they'll hold an event on June 2nd, which we'll attend by the way, and the company's Vice President also confirmed that the handset will sport a physical home button and be a part of the 'Note' family.
The details Li Nan revealed actually point straight to the M1 Note's successor, no matter which way we look at it. The company's VP has also confirmed that the device won't sport a fingerprint scanner. Anyhow, we've seen quite a few leaks of this device already, and at the moment, that seems like the only probable option. That being said, Meizu has released a ton of teaser images over the last couple of days on the company's official Weibo (Chinese social network) account. If you take a look at the gallery down below you'll notice quite a few images which don't exactly reveal all that much information.
Each of the images you can see showcase the number '602'. Such image was already used by Meizu when they announced the date this event will be held. Anyhow, the number '6' represents the month of the announcement, and the number '2' the date, though the number 2 could also represent the 2nd-gen device which is going to launch at the event. That being said, the '0' is an anomaly. We assumed that it represents the physical home button, and that might be true, but Meizu is using that number as a frame for all sorts of teasers. The company has placed all sorts of images in there, as you can see in the gallery down below, ranging from Despicable Me characters to musical instruments. The company is probably trying to tease all sorts of content that will be available on this handset, though we're just guessing at the moment. Stay tuned, we'll let you know when we get more info regarding this handset.
