The LG G4 wasn’t actually announced all that long ago, but LG is keen for a swift turnaround, and now it’s making its way to US carriers, starting with T-Mobile yesterday. Today might be the big day for Google and Android fans with Google I/O kicking off later, but Verizon is starting pre-orders for the LG G4 today, as well as launching a new LG tablet, the G Pad X8.3 and some fairly nice deals for those looking to get their hands on something new. We reviewed the G4 earlier this year here.
Starting with the G4, it’s available for $549.99 outright from Verizon and will also be available on Verizon Edge contracts, as well as traditional contracts too. It’ll be available in White Ceramic exclusively at Verizon Wireless, as well Metallic Grey and Black Leather options. Unlike T-Mobile, Verizon isn’t offering a free 128GB microSD card, but through an LG promotion, people can claim a 32GB microSD card, an extra battery and a charging cradle direct from LG. If you bring your number to Verizon and start a Verizon Edge contract, they will provide you with a $100 bill credit.
Launching today, is the G Pad X8.3, a redux of the G Pad 8.3, with a Full HD IPS display, front-facing stereo speakers and an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz. It’s packed with a 4,800 mAh, 16GB of expandable storage and Android 5.0 Lollipop. Interestingly enough, there’s also a full-size USB port making it nice and easy to transfer content to it no matter what sort of memory stick you’re using.
Verizon is running an offer with the G4 and the G Pad tablets. Offering those that purchase a G4 the opportunity to get a G Pad X8.3 for $49.99, instead of $129.99, or a G Pad 10.1 for $99.9 instead of $149.00. The best deal for many however, will be the offer on the Watch Urbane for $299.99, which is $50 cheaper than most other places right now. The LG G4 will be available on Verizon starting June 4th.
