Huawei has, surprisingly enough, released 6 devices within a month or so. This China-based company has announced their flagship P8 line of devices which consists of the Huawei P8, P8Max and P8 Lite. Following that announcement, the company has announced their Honor 4C mid-range smartphone which was accompanied by two mid-range tablets. It was announced yesterday that this mid-range smartphone will launch in India today along with an entry-level Honor Bee device, and that’s exactly what happened. The Honor 4C features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display along with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage (expandable via microSD card). This handset is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 620 octa-core processor which runs at 1.2GHz and comes with the Mali 450 GPU for graphics. This is a dual SIM (two micro SIM slots) handset and it offers 3G HSPA+ connectivity, no 4G LTE available here. The 13-megapixel camera (BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle lens) is available on the back of the Honor 4C, and a 5-megapixel shooter (22mm wide-angle lens) is located on its front side. The 2,550mAh battery ships with this device, and the Honor 4C measures 143.3 x 71.9 x 8.8mm, while it weighs 162 grams. The Honor 4C unfortunately doesn’t sport the latest version of Android, it ships with Android 4.4 KitKat with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 on top of Google’s operating system.
The Honor Bee, on the other hand, sports a somewhat lower-end specifications. This handset features a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 panel on front and it will also ship with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of in-built storage, which you can expand via a microSD card. Spreadtrum’s SC7731 quad-core chip clocked at 1.2GHz is powering on this device along with a Mali-400 GPU. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed here as well, and this handset also supports two SIM cards. The 8-megapixel camera is located on its back, and a 2-megapixel snapper can be found on its front. The 1,730mAh battery ships with this device, and 4G LTE connectivity is not available here either, you have access to 3G HSPA+ though.
Both of these devices come in Black and White color options. The Honor 4C is priced at Rs. 8,999 ($149) and the Honor Bee will cost you Rs. 4,999 ($78) both of these devices are available exclusively via Flipkart.
