GasWatch Allows Monitoring Of Gas Levels From Your Smartphone

With the summer slowly approaching, many will be preparing for the months ahead. For those that live in the warmer summer climates, this will probably include preparing for BBQ season. This is, of course, one of the highlights of the summer. Well, if you are an avid BBQer, then you might want to know about an Indiegogo campaign which is currently live. The campaign is for GasWatch and as the names suggests, the idea behind the product is to be able to effectively monitor the levels of propane you currently have. No one likes running out of things, but running out of propane during a BBQ can be one of the most annoying instances and one which many users will already relate to. Most experienced BBQers will take their BBQ preparation seriously enough, however, knowing how much propane you have left and more importantly, whether you have enough for your latest event can sometimes be difficult. After all, gauging levels of propane is not the easiest thing to do.

Well, this is the problem that GasWatch is currently looking to solve. GasWatch comes with a digital reader that attaches to your propane tank, as well as a base which the tank rests on. Between the two, the GasWatch system is able to monitor and advise you of the current level of gas and more importantly, how much cooking time (on average) your gas level will offer. All the information is neatly provided to you via an android app. As such, the app will be able to show you a visual reference point as to how much gas is remaining and ensuring that you are fully in control. Once your gas levels reach a critical point, the app will sound and alarm so that you are aware the level is depleting.

The project on Indiegogo, has been running for a couple of weeks now and looks to be entering the final few days. That said, it has already secured over 80% of the funding it was originally seeking and as such, looks set to pass its milestone in due course. For those who are interested, all the early bird sets have now been allocated, but you still can secure your own own set for $35. As per usual, there are discounts available on additional units purchased via the Indiegogo campaign. If you are interested then you can click here to head over to the Indiegogo listing. Alternatively, you can check out the video below for an example of how the system will work and function.
