Curved LG Escape 2 Now Available On AT&T For $179.99

Yesterday, it was reported that AT&T seemed to be showing off a curved display device dubbed the LG Escape 2. Today, AT&T has now officially announced the LG Escape 2 Smartphone. According to the listing in AT&T's cellphones section, the LG Escape 2 can now be bought without a contract. The curved display smartphone is also available on an installment plan. For those interested in a plan option, the LG Escape 2 will be available on the Next 12 plan for a very small monthly payment of $9 over 24 months. Likewise, on the Next 18 plan, the Escape 2 can be purchased for twenty-four monthly payments of $7.50. Lastly, on the Next 24 option, the device will cost thirty payments of $6. It is $0.99 on a two-year contract.

LG Escape 2 is a reasonably priced device, so what do you get for the price? Starting off, the LG Escape 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, which houses a Quad-core Cortex A53 1.4 GHz CPU and an Adreno 306 GPU. The SoC comes with integrated 3rd generation - energy efficient 4G LTE modem. The chipset is powerful enough to handle daily tasks without skipping. The SoC can also handle 1080p video capturing as well as playback. The LG Escape 2 also packs 1 GB of RAM, coupled with 8GB internal memory, as well as a MicroSD card slot which offers supports up to 32GB. The LG Escape 2 has a primary 8-megapixel camera capable of snapping good pictures. The camera also has an LED Flash. The secondary camera is a 1-megapixel unit for taking social media selfies and online video chats. Android 5.0 (Lollipop) comes pre-installed here, with LG Optimus UI on top of it. This complete package comes running on a 2,100 mAh battery, which might sound a little limited to some of you.

LG Escape 2 has a distinct curved display feature that is only available in premium LG phones such as G-Flex, G-Flex 2 and the latest LG G4. It has a 4.7 inches IPS screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is a mid-ranged smartphone with a decent hardware and great software. It comes pre-loaded with a lot of applications from AT&T, LG SmartWorld, GuestMode, and other LG exclusive services. LG Escape 2 is a good choice for people who do not wish to buy a very high-end smartphone but a decent smartphone with a budget price.
