ASUS Zenfone 2 With 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage Only $337 On May 7

There is not much left to know about the ASUS Zenfone 2, other than if it will land on AT&T (where most Zenfones end up) and the final pricing if it does land in the US.  It is now known that on May 7, for one day only, you can pick a Zenfone 2 up via online retailer AliExpress for only $336.99.  The promotion will last for 24 hours and then the price will revert back to $449.32 - a whopping $112.33 off an already great price.  If you were on the fence on whether to purchase the ASUS Zenfone 2, it is doubtful that you will find it cheaper in the near future.  ASUS has been selling the Zenfone 2 variant with 2GB of RAM on Amazon for a while now, but this is the 4GB model on offer.

The ASUS Zenfone 2 actually comes in four different variants, although this price is only relevant to the 4GB/64GB model. It measures in at 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.9mm in size, with Gorilla Glass 3.  It comes sporting a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 403 pixels-per-inch (PPI) and small enough bezels that 72-percent of the front is display.  It packs 4GB of RAM - the most of any smartphone at this point - 64GB of internal memory, with a microSD card slot for expansion of an additional 64GB.  The processor is a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core clocked at 2.3GHz and for the GPU they use the PowerVR G6430.  A non-removable 3000mAh battery supplies the power.

The primary camera is a 13-megapixel Toshiba sensor with autofocus, dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 5-element lens and no OIS.  The front-facing camera (FFC) is a very respectable 5-megapixel with an aperture that matches the main camera - f/2.0, and 85-degree wide angle for great social media selfies and video chatting.  With this special wide-angle mode, you can capture a panoramic selfie with up to a 140-degrees by following the on-screen instructions to simply rotate your Zenfone 2 from left to right.

ASUS took a page from LG's handbook and placed the controls on the back of the device as part of their new Ergonomic Arc Design where you can snap selfies and adjust the volume.  This makes it simple to operate whether you are right-handed or left-handed. The Zenfone 2 is Dual-SIM, includes an FM radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC capable, a microUSB port for charging and data transfer and includes fast battery charging of 60-percent in 40 minutes.  It will be running the newest Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box and arrive in a variety of colors - Black, Gold, Gray, Red and White.  It will work on GSM, HSPA and US LTE networks with bands, LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 17(700), and 20(800).
