HTC One Max Gets Lollipop in Taiwan
The original HTC One Max is finally getting lollipop in Taiwan, with a build number of 4.12.709.2 and a download size of almost 1GB. It’s Android 5.0.2 and shouldn’t bring anything major to the table, but you will be one step closer to the latest version of Android.
Galaxy Core Prime Gets Lollipop Update
Samsung has started to update devices outside of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note line now, and the Galaxy Core Prime is next. The budget-minded device is getting the update to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop in Poland with a software version of G360FXXU1BOD9.
HTC One M7 Google Play Edition Receives Android 5.1
The Google Play Edition of the HTC One M7 is getting Android 5.1 this week, not to be confused with Android 5.1.1. This update comes in at around 280MB and has a build number of LMY47O and is available in its OTA form from Google here.
HTC Desire 816 Sees Lollipop Update
Along with a number of other devices, the Desire 816 got its Lollipop update this week with a build number of 2.34.720.1 coming in at around 800MB or so. At long last, right?
Sprint offers Galaxy S6 Edge Bugfix, AT&T Does the Same for Galaxy S6
AT&T is sending out a small update to the Galaxy S6 this week, which leaves the device on Android 5.0.2, but offers users the following tweaks:
Battery performance enhancement
HD Voice enhancement
AT&T Message enhancement
Screen rotation enhancement
Power key press time from .5sec to 1.5sec
Other various performance enhancements
Sprint is doing the same for the Galaxy S6 Edge, and this appears to fix a few issues here and there. There’s not much to this update, but all the info is available from Sprint.
YU Yureka Gets CM12S Update
The YU Yureka is still a great device, despite the fact the Yuphoria has been announced. It’s getting another update to build YNG1TAS1K0 of CM12S, and all you can download it here. This update includes the usual tweaks here and here, nothing major.
Nexus 9 Finally Gets Android 5.1.1 Update
Last week we reported that Google were starting to roll out the update to Android 5.1.1, and now, it’s finally happened! The 400MB update brings the Nexus 9 to LMY47X and it’s available from Google as an OTA ZIP here and the Factory Image is also available for those interested.
YotaPhone 2 Updated to Lollipop
The YotaPhone 2 launched last December, and it’s not getting updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop. We’re assuming this is the 5.0.2 variety as there’s little documentation online, it appears Yota is a little busy launching the phone in white and slashing prices right now. Thankfully though, this update seems to have mostly left Lollipop alone, and there’s been some changes and additions to the eInk software as well.
Second-Generation Moto E Getting Android 5.1
Ever the joker, Motorola has updated the second-generation Moto E to Android 5.1 before even some Moto G and Moto X devices have even received 5.0! Nevertheless, this is a great update to see, and few other budget phones could say the same. All the info is here.
