Android How To: Take a Screenshot on the LG G4

With every new device that comes out on the market, we get emails asking how to take a screenshot on that new device. Even though it’s pretty much the same on every device. So here we are, here to show you how to take a screenshot on the new LG G4. There are actually two ways to take a screenshot on the LG G4, and we’re going to show you both ways. They are both pretty simple.

The “Stock Android” Way

Back in Ice Cream Sandwich, Google introduced Screenshots. Where you can press the volume down and power button together for a couple of seconds to take a screenshot. That works on just about every device except for Samsung’s. They decided to go Apple’s way with Power and Home. On the LG G4, it’s a bit trickier since the volume rocker and power button are on the back, but it’s still easy to do. Just press power and Volume down together for a few seconds and your screenshot will be taken and put into the notification bar. From there, you can go ahead and edit it, view it, or share it wherever you want.

The “LG” Way

This hasn’t changed much over the last few ways. You can pull down your notification tray and tap on QMemo+. It’ll then open up an app where you can write on your screenshot as well as crop and such. Then share it straight to any site, or simple send it to Google+ Photos. It’s really simple, and for many it’s easier then using the power and Volume Down option due to the placement on the back of the device.

It’s not difficult, but it is something that we get asked a lot. So there it is. You’ll want to stay tuned to Android Headlines as we have plenty more LG G4 content that we’re cooking up.
