Sunday is the start of a new week, and with that we have a new homescreen for you all to try out for the next 7 days. This homescreen comes courtesy of David Pitoko, and it features a nice little design with just a couple simple widgets so as not to be too overwhelming yet not too minimalist either. If you like the look of this homescreen design then as always, we’ll be going over what apps you need to recreate the look on your own device, as well as giving you the basics on how to set everything up too.
To get started, you’ll need a few different applications to make this design, and the first is going to be a third-party home launcher. We recommend Nova Prime, because that’s what is used here. You’ll also need Zooper Widgets Pro, which is how you apply the widget files to your homescreen to skin it, and lastly you’ll need to install an app called Media Utilities which is for the music controls on the widget itself. Don’t forget the actual Zooper files, which you can grab from the source link below.
Once you have everything installed the setup process is pretty simple, start by going into your Nova settings and changing your homescreen grid to 6 x 6, then make sure you hide the dock, the status bar, and the navigation bar. Also make sure you have two homescreen pages as there will be a widget for each. From here all that’s left is to long press on the homescreen, select the appropriate widgets for each page, and then configure the Media Utilities for the music controls, which we recommend to look up the process for. It isn’t too involved but it’s easier if you see the steps included. That’s all there is to it. If you liked the work done here by David Pitoko show some appreciation for the hard work to create the design, and as always have a great rest of the weekend and happy theming!
