Oppo Teases The Company's Upcoming 'Bezel-Less' R7 Handset

Oppo R7 is definitely one of the most leaked smartphones this year. We've not only seen dozens of leaked images reportedly showing off this device, but some video content as well. The device pictured in those leaks seemed like a done deal, but it seems like Oppo has different plans. The company has confirmed yesterday that Oppo R7 will sport a physical home button below the display, while the leaked handset featured three capacitive buttons below the display. It is, of course, possible that Oppo plans to release more than one variant of this device, but we cannot confirm that at the moment.

Either way, the company has also confirmed that the Oppo R7 will launch next month, and they've not released yet another teaser image of the device. The company has released an image on social networks which shows off the upper part of Oppo R7, the captions says 'Experience life without borders. The R7 is coming'. Oppo has once again mentioned that the phone will sport a 2.5D curved glass on top of the display unit itself, and thanks to Oppo's light trick, the phone will seem completely bezel-less from the front. This handset will have minimal bezel on the sides as it is, but thank to the curved screen, those bezels won't be noticeable at all until you tilt the phone to the side. At least that's what the leaks thus far have been claiming / showing, we'll have to wait for the company to announce the device in order for us to confirm that fact. This China-based smartphone OEM has also confirmed that Oppo R7 will ship with Oppo's VOOC Flash Charge technology which will make sure you get incredibly fast charging speeds here. This tech can charge up a 3,000mAh battery from 0 to 75% in approximately 30 minutes.

What about the rest of its specs? Well, we don't have much info as far as that goes. Some previous leaks have said that the phone will be powered by MediaTek's MT6795 64-bit octa-core SoC and that it will ship with a 20.7-megapixel camera (Sony's sensor) on the back. Anyhow, the phone will arrive next month, stay tuned.
