Oppo R7 Shows Up In Video And Images Again Touting Its Edge-To-Edge Display

We're seeing quite a few 'bezel-free' devices launched lately. This doesn't necessarily means they don't have any bezel on them, because they do, but their side bezels are incredibly thin, almost non-existent. A Chinese company, Letv, has announced a line of flagship devices recently which sport such thin bezels. Same can be said of Huawei's P8 handsets which also launched a couple of days ago. ZTE will announce their long-awaited Nubia Z9 handset on May 6, and even the company's General Manager has confirmed that it will be bezel-free.

Now that we got that out of the way, we can concentrate on Oppo's alleged R7 handset which has leaked before, and has done so yet again. This handset has leaked in video and images before, and now we have yet another video clip to share with you along with a bunch of new real life images of this device. If you take a look at the embedded video and images below this article, you'll see the very same device that has leaked a couple of times before. Unlike some other 'bezel-less' devices, this handset seems to be the real deal. What do I mean by that? Well, this handset seems to sport edge-to-edge display, no black bars or bezel on the sides. If this is true, the Oppo R7 will be really, really narrow in size. It has bezels on the top and bottom, of course, but they're not that big, at least judging by this video and images. There are capacitive buttons present below the display, and the device seem to sport a metal frame.

As far as this device's specifications go, we don't have that much information to share. Several leaks did pop up though saying that the device will be powered by MediaTek's MT6795 octa-core SoC and that it will feature a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back. Take all of this information with a pinch of salt, of course, we cannot confirm these specifications. It is very likely that Oppo will announce this device in the coming months though, we've seen quite a few leaks thus far, and will almost certainly will see more in the future.
