Oppo R7 And R7 Plus Rumored To Launch On May 20; Oppo R7 Plus Render Surfaces

We've been talking about Oppo R7 for quite some time now. A number of images and videos surfaced online showing this handset up close and personal. The images and videos were initially touting a smartphone without any bezel on the sides, but it turns out that the Oppo R7 actually has side bezels. Interesting enough, it looks like it doesn't have any when you look at the phone from the front. When you lean it on a side you'll notice that the bezel is there, but due to the curved glass on the display itself, it seems like there's no bezel whatsoever from most angles. This is an interesting move by Oppo and it certainly does make the device look really sleek and unique.

That being said, it seems like Oppo intends to launch two devices soon. Another render leaked showing off the alleged Oppo R7 Plus handset, and according to a new rumor, both of these handsets will be announced on May 20. As you can see in a provided image, the Oppo R7 Plus actually resembles the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 a whole lot, but it doesn't have a rear-facing fingerprint scanner nor the LED flash. Reports say that this handset will take advantage an IR laser focus for its camera, and that LED flash won't be included at all. This handset will reportedly feature a 6-inch 1080p or QuadHD display along with 3GB of RAM. This device is expected to cost around 3,000 Yuan ($484).

The Oppo R7 is expected to sport a 20.7-megapixel camera, and both the Oppo R7 and Oppo R7 Plus will reportedly be powered by MediaTek's MT6795 64-bit octa-core processor. The two devices will look somewhat different if the leaks are to be believed. It seems like the Oppo R7 Plus will offer on-screen buttons instead of the capacitive buttons below the display. Oppo R7 will be the opposite of that, not to mention that the two devices look visibly different, if the rumors are to be believed that is. The first image in the gallery down below actually shows off the alleged Oppo R7 Plus, and the Oppo R7 is pictured in the second and third one.
