Mobilicity Revamps Their Lineup of Smartphones Includes The Nexus 6, BlackBerry and Moto

One never knows what is happening within the walls of Mobilicity or even if they have a future in the wireless market of Canada.  They have been under the courts protection from creditors for a couple of years…always arguing in court that they have not explored all of their options as far as seeking a buyer.  Yet surprisingly, they still are showing almost 160,000 subscribers at the end of 2014.  They gathered up enough cash to participate in the last AWS-3 spectrum auction, yet did not…and they are not even going to make a bid in today's 2500 MHz spectrum auction.  It certainly looks like Mobilicity is grasping for its last ounce of breath, and yet it looks like they have completely revamped their device line-up, but all of the smartphones they are currently selling are being offered as "Phones on sale."

Some of the devices, like the Nexus 6, are newer, but many are from BlackBerry or great Motorola models, but ones from 2013…so they may be clearing their shelves in an effort to generate some cash.  The list of thirteen devices is: – BlackBerry Classic – BlackBerry Z30 – BlackBerry Passport – LG F60 – CAT S50 Rugged – Nexus 6 – Moto X (2013) – Moto E (2013) – Moto G (2013) – ZTE Salem Z667T – ZTE Martin II Z730 – ZTE Grand X Z933 – ZTE ZMAX.  If you try to find out about availability or pricing on an individual device, it will tell you to "Call or visit your local store for pricing and availability info."  That tells us that quantities are limited, although you would think the price would be listed.

For a limited time, Mobilicity is knocking off $10 off their $30 plan – for $20 a month you can get Unlimited Talk, Text and Voicemail, including unlimited Province-Wide Talk, Caller ID, 3-Way Calling, Call Waiting and Call Forwarding, North American Text and Picture Messaging and more.  They are also offering an add-on for 20GB of Premium data for only $20 per month.  Mobilicity's unlimited plans start at $25 per month and continue to $35, $45 and $55 for unlimited everything.  They claim their best value is the $45 Unlimited Value Plan that includes Unlimited Talk and Text in Canada and US Long Distance, Unlimited Premium Data, and 30 minutes of North America Roaming when in the US.
