The LG G4 Is Now Available For Purchase In Korea For 825,000 won ($768)

As most of you probably know by now, the LG G4 has been announced. This Korea-based tech giant has announced their new flagship two days ago, and it's exactly what we thought it would be, both in terms of design and specifications. LG took a significantly different approach this time around and has decided to slightly curved the phone (and its display), while they also introduced the version of the phone which sports genuine leather on the back. The other two versions ship with plastic and / or ceramic back cover.

That being said, the LG G4 is already on sale in Korea, LG's homeland. The phone is priced at 825,000 which equals $768. As far as other countries go, pre-orders are already available in some of them. The phone will go on sale in China and the U.S. in June, will arrive in Canada this summer and is also expected to land in the U.K. next month. The LG G4 will be a direct competitor to Samsung's Galaxy S6 flagships, HTC One M9, Sony Xperia Z4, Huawei P8… and a number of other already (or soon to be) released flagship offerings.

The LG G4 features a 5.5-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) Quantum LCD display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). LG's newest flagship is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor which ships with an Adreno 418 GPU. The 16-megapixel OIS camera (f/1.8 aperture) is located on the back of this handset and flanked by a dual-LED, dual tone flash and the Laser Autofocus. The 8-megapixel snapper is available on the front side of the device. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this device with LG's UX 4.0 on top of it. The LG G4 ships with a 3,000mAh removable battery on the inside and 4G LTE connectivity is, of course, available here. Click here if you'd like to check out the G4's full spec list.

There you have it folks, the sales of the G4 have already kicked off, truth be told the availability is seriously limited and Korea is basically the only country that the device can be purchased at the moment. Other countries will follow in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that. Until then, check out our hands-on coverage of the device and also keep your eye out for a full review of this device which we're working on.
