Leaked Images Of A New Sony Xperia Z4 Case Seem To Confirm The Smartphone's Design

While the rumors of the Sony Xperia Z4 were scarce at MWC 2015, (which is one of the most popular events regarding mobile technology) we now have a lot of leaks that show us what to possibly expect from the company's new flagship. The leaks form accessory makers, in particular case makers, are always good sources to figure out ideas of the possible design because the companies send them sketches or renders of their future devices so that these accessories are available for the time they launch.

Now, a new case for the Sony Xperia Z4 has allegedly been photographed and it certainly resembles what we know of the design from the leaked renders and most recently from the alleged photographs of the new flagship from Sony. The case seems to be made of hard plastic and meant to cover the rear of the device but from its cutouts we can figure out the button placement. On the back there's one cutout for the camera and LED flash. The busier side is the right one, because there's where we will find the power button and the volume rocker next to it, the camera button is on that side but it is a little farther than the other two.

The left side of the device doesn't have any cutouts so we may be able to expect the magnetic charging connector to be gone on this new model. On the bottom we can see a small cut in the middle and that's where the new Micro USB port is supposed to be, but unlike its predecessors it won't be covered although it will likely feature an IP68 certification making it dust-proof and water-proof. We've seen this kind of technology in the recently announced Xperia M4 Aqua and the Xperia Z4 Tablet. If this is indeed the design of the new flagship, it closely resembles the design of the Xperia Z3, with the exception of the aforementioned ports. While the company has said that they're upgrading their phones with close attention to details refining every element of the design, they might want to add some new features to avoid falling on the dull side.
