India is the second biggest smartphone market in the world. This country is home to many smartphone OEMs which mostly manufacture low and mid-range devices. Intex is one of the most popular India-based OEMs, this company has already announced a number of smartphones this year, like the photography-focused Aqua Speed and the Aqua Power HD with a rather big battery on the inside. The company has just announced yet another entry-level device. The Intex Cloud M6 is yet another Intex-branded mid-range handset which is extremely affordable, let’s take a look at this device’s specifications and what it has to offer.

The Intex Cloud M6 features a 5-inch 854 x 480 IPS display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). This handset is powered by Spreadtrum’s SC7731 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and will ship with a 2,000mAh battery. The 8-megapixel camera is located on the back of the Cloud M6 and the LED flash can be found underneath the camera sensor. The 5-megapixel snapper is available up front and we’re talking about a dual-SIM device here. This handset also offers 3G HSPA+ connectivity and comes with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed with Intex’s software additions on top of Google’s operating system. Intel pre-loaded Service, Clean Master, Ask Me, Pedometer Pro… and a number of additional apps on this device. The Cloud M6 measures 142 x 71.5 x 8.95mm.

“The Cloud M6 is another step towards, conceiving and improvising our offerings to best meet the demands of the consumers. We believe in providing our customers with products that fulfill their needs at the best and are suitable to the pocket. This new product is bundled with best of design, colors and features at a market best price,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head at Intex Technologies. The Intex Cloud M6 will be available in White and Black color options and will set you back Rs. 5,699 ($91) if you want to purchase it, speaking of which, you’ll be able to get it through Flipkart soon. This handset is really affordable, but it have its drawbacks even for such a low price. It will be interesting to see how will it fare against some other offerings in India.
