While all the talk in recent weeks has surrounded the twin Galaxy devices, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and HTC’s latest offering, the HTC One M9. These devices represent the most premium level of the android market. While they sport the best of specs and build, they also do come with quite hefty price tags, further illustrating their premium nature. That said, you do not have to always spend a fortune to acquire a decent spec and performing device. In fact, manufacturers in China and India are providing a number of options which are far more pocket-friendly priced, while at the same time offering a decent performing product in return.

iberry is one of those companies. They look to offer devices at extremely competitive prices in India. A prime example of their pricing came last October when the company unveiled and released their Auxus Aura A1 smartphone which came priced at launch for Rs 9,900 (roughly $160). Well, iberry looks set to try their luck in the market again with the latest addition to their Auxus range of devices. However, unlike the Aura A1, the new offering is designed to offer the best of specs and as such has been dubbed the ‘iberry Auxus BEAST’.

In terms of what’s on offer, the Auxus BEAST comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a 1280 x 720 resolution, along with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Inside, the Auxus Beast comes equipped with 3GB RAM and powered by a MediaTek (MT 6752) Octa-core processor (clocking at 1.7 GHz), along with a Mali T760 graphics processor. In terms of memory, the Auxus BEAST comes with 16GB internal storage as well as the option for expandable memory (up to 128GB). In terms of cameras, the Auxus BEAST is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera (with LED flash) coupled with a large 8-megapixel front facing option. Additional features include dual-SIM support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G HSPA+, 4G LTE and GPS. Not to mention, the device will come powered by a 3,050 mAh battery and running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop).

Of course, the biggest selling point of this device will be the price and with that in mind, the Auxus BEAST is scheduled to be released with a Rs 13,990 ($225) price tag. The device will be on sale starting April 20th and sold exclusively through Snapdeal. The Auxus Beast will only be available in black, although changeable back panels (red, white and blue) will also be available to purchase. You can check out the promo video for the Auxus BEAST below, although, it does not show much in the way of how the device will look.
