HTC Looking To Further Customize The One M9 Experience With Limited Edition HTC INK Devices

One of the advantages of the Android operating system has been the ways users can customize its home screen, not only with different wallpapers and widgets but there are many launchers available that make the UI even more personal, from animations to different icons, users can certainly make their experience more personal. The design of the OS elements has evolved in a way that it is visually very pleasing so some users might even consider preserving the look that Google intended. Themes seem to be a new trend in software customization from the OEMs. Still if the screen is turned off, users end up with their devices looking the same as the rest. Smartphones are now offered in a wide variety of color options, materials and textures and, of course, there are cases and covers in every color and design possible to add a personal touch.

The HTC One M9, while keeping the hardware design very similar to its predecessor, is still one of the best-designed phones in the industry and it has 4 color options, but the company will release a limited edition series of this model with "custom-design, body art-inspired engravings". This will be part of a program called HTC INK, which as the name suggests, takes inspiration from body art as an expression for style.  Details of the program are scarce at this time, but HTC has communicated that their first collaboration will be with the supermodel Jourdan Dunn. Who will also be the ambassador for the campaign, due to her fashion trajectory. She wanted a design that could express excitement about her new creative projects while reflecting her personal style. The responsibility of such a design was for Cally-Jo Pothecary, who has worked with Rihanna and her temporary hand tattoos among other artists. It is still unknown if more artists will collaborate or when will this one become available, but it should be interesting for users that already have tattoos, to pick a limited edition phone that better suits their personality. Anyway, having artistic interventions in objects we carry every day seems like a good idea and it definitely makes the devices less ordinary.

I've loved technology ever since I touched a computer and I got to experience the transition to mobile devices which was amazing! I got into Android with the Samsung Galaxy S2 and I currently own a Sony Xperia Z3 and a Nexus 7 because I really like the look of vanilla Android. My interests include movies, music, art and mathematics.
