A little over a week ago, HTC announced the HTC One M9. It was basically what the leaks had told us. A very incremental update from the HTC One M8 in terms of design. Which isn't a completely bad thing. So we've got a slightly shorter HTC smartphone here, but we do have a 20MP camera on the back this time around. I wouldn't judge the pictures you've seen floating around just yet. As those were from unreleased software that's not final. HTC threw in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There is also a micro SD card slot inside. HTC decided to stay with the 1080p display this time around. Which I think was a good decision. While the Quad HD displays look great, they are kinda overkill on a 5-inch device.
Now, Vodafone UK has opened up pre-orders for the HTC One M9. We don't have any idea as to when the HTC One M9 will start shipping out to those who pre-ordered though. Vodafone UK is listing the smartphone with plans that start at £26.50 per month. If you were holding out for the Gold version, well EE has the exclusive on that one, unfortunately. If you're looking to get the cheapest option for the HTC One M9, which is £26.50 per month, you'll have to pay £169 upfront for it. Additionally, there's no 4G LTE speeds on that plan. If you want faster speeds, you'll need to pay £38.50 per month with £19 upfront.
So we now have pre-orders open for EE and Vodafone in the UK. Wonder how much longer before we see Carphone Warehouse and others open theirs up. As well as carriers here in the US. Samsung has already announced that they have over 20 million pre-orders going. Wonder if HTC can keep up with them in terms of pre-orders? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
