Following on Samsung's announcement that the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge would be coming with wireless charging capabilities built in, Samsung also announced that the wireless charging function on both phones is compatible with all existing wireless chargers that work off of the Qi standard. This means all of TYLT's existing wireless charging products can be used with both upcoming Samsung phones. In addition to this, TYLT has announced that they're coming out with two new accessories for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, which are the Energi Sliding Power Case and the ALIN Glass screen protector.
These two products are already available for other handsets like the Galaxy S5 and the iPhone 6, so TYLT will be updating them for Samsung's new flagships. TYLT mentions that these accessories will be available for the phones later this year, likely sometime on or around the launch date of the phones themselves. As for the wireless charging compatibility, TYLT already has a selection of wireless chargers that will be ready and waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge when they arrive on store shelves. This includes chargers like the VU wireless charging car mount, the VU wireless charger, and the VU SOLO wireless charger all which come in a variety of colors.
This makes them easily accessible for consumers to be equipped with a wireless charging solution before they have their new handsets, and since both the VU and VU SOLO wireless chargers were previously released last year, there's even a possibility you might be able to find them in a deal somewhere. The VU is currently going on Amazon for $59.99 right now, and the VU SOLO is even less at $39.99, while the VU wireless charging car mount is going for $79.99. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge were stated by Samsung as having a launch date from April 10th, so we might be able to expect the new accessories from TYLT to arrive around that time, although no confirmation has been made on them just yet. We have reviewed the TYLT VU, VU SOLO, and the VU wireless charging car mount so you can check those out if you're curious about any of them.
