Top Android Homescreen March 27th Edition: Misty Pier

Another Friday another top homescreen for the customization lovers. This week's pick is called Misty Pier, and was designed by 21Marco12. It feels a little material design inspired but is unique enough that it doesn't look too much like anything else with the same idea in mind. If you like the look of this homescreen design and want to recreate it on your own device, just like every week we'll go over the stuff you need to create this setup for yourself, as well as give you the basic rundown of how to actually get it running. Without further ado, let's jump into the things you need to put this homescreen design together.

First, you'll need a third-party home launcher to customize a few different aspects, Nova Launcher Prime is the one mentioned by the creator, so we suggest sticking with that. You'll also need Zooper Widgets Pro to apply the widget files to the homescreen, which is what gives it the design that it has. Media Utilities is another app you'll need so you can configure the media controls on the music-based widget, and lastly you'll also need to pick up Tasker.

Once you have all of those apps downloaded and installed, make sure to download the actual Zooper widget files and save them to your device. From there, go into Nova settings and set your desktop grid to 10 rows and 6 columns with no margins. The next step is to disable the app dock down at the bottom of the screen, then make sure to hide both the navigation and the status bars to give you full length of the screen for the widgets. Set up three homescreen pages, and disable the "show shadow" option inside of Nova settings as well. From here the last step is to apply all the widget files, all which have specific grid sizes themselves, and you can find all those details at the source below. To configure Media Utilities, do a quick Google search to familiarize yourself with the steps needed, and if you like this design be sure to show some appreciation for the hard work put in by the creator by "zooming" the image and hitting the Love button on the mycolorscreen page. Have a great weekend and happy theming!!!
