The day of Mobile Banking has arrived – actually it arrived a couple of years ago – however, some banks kept dragging their heels to update their mobile apps. TD Canada Trust is one such bank that has finally fulfilled its promise to update its Android App…soon followed by its iOS app as well. Their new app is available in Google’s Play Store and you can quickly get to the app by clicking on the Play Store banner at the bottom of the article.
The app is much faster to use and more intuitive with features like the side menu that pulls out for quick access to Accounts, Transfers, Bill Payments, Mobile Deposits or Payments, Investing Services and banking support for US based TD Banks. Navigation within the app has taken on major changes, including a new Quick Access menu available by swiping in from the right side of the screen. Users can now check their balances from any screen within the app.
The TD Bank app allows secure access to you accounts from your NFC capable mobile device: HTC One (M8), (M7) – LG G3, G2 – Samsung Galaxy: S6, S6 Edge, Alpha, S5 Alpha, S5, S5 Active, S4, S3, Mega, Note 4, Note 3, Note II – Sony Xperia Z3, Z2, and Z1. You can check balances, transfer funds between accounts, deposit checks with TD Mobile Deposit, locate branches and ATMs. Investors can monitor their investments, view and manage watch lists and get real-time stock quotes and EFT. They can even trade stocks and exchange traded funds.
TD Bank even allows you to make a Mobile Payment of up to $100 with just the tap of your smartphone using an eligible TD Credit Card. This works through the NFC SIM Card and an active account through Bell Mobility, Rogers Wireless, TELUS Mobility or Virgin Mobile. The app is free, but the NFC SIM card may need to be purchased through your carrier.
