Reserve A Gold Platinum Samsung Galaxy S6 And Galaxy S6 Edge Now At Rogers

We all know that the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in Black Sapphire and White Pearl were coming to Canada and pre-orders were being taken.  Then we found out that Samsung formally announced that the Gold Platinum color would also be available to pre-order as well.  Today we are happy to report that the Gold Platinum edition has been added to Rogers' website as one of the options for pre-order or reservation.  The addition is showing at the bottom of this page.  Rogers is the first to offer it as a pre-order, but it should soon be available through all major carriers.

It is the best way to handle a new launch - get the colors out there from day one and give the potential buyers a chance to see them all and purchase what they really want...not making them wait to see the newer color and in the meantime purchase something else.  It would be really terrific if Samsung would allow pre-orders on the exclusive Galaxy S6 color, Blue Topaz and the exclusive Galaxy S6 Edge color, Green Emerald as well.  Those are bold and bright colors and it seems like Samsung should sell many of those, especially to the 18 - 30 year olds, much of their target audience.

This year's Samsung Galaxy S6 series has made many changes over last year's model.   It uses a 64-bit Samsung Exynos octa-core processor, along with their own 3GB of DDR4 RAM and their own UFS 2.0 Flash memory - both of which are much faster than previous devices.  Because of the newer flash memory, there is no microSD card slot to increase the internal memory, so Samsung will offer both models in three variants - 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.  Both cameras were updated as well - the main camera is now 16MP, with autofocus, LED flash, f/1.9, OIS, Live HDR and Samsung's own ISOCELL technology.  The front-facing camera (FFC) was also increased to 5MP, 120-degree wide angle lens, f1.9 aperture and Live HDR.  The combination of the f1.9 aperture, ISOCELL technology and Live HDR should provide great low-light pictures.
