It has been a busy week for those interested in Samsung and HTC. In fact, it has been a very busy month for both companies. This all began on March 1st when both companies on the same day at MWC, revealed both their latest flagship devices, in the form of the Samsung Galaxy S6 (as well as the Galaxy S6 Edge) and the HTC one M9. Both devices came touting high-end specs and both devices were very much being touted as the smartphone to have this year.
Well, following on from their public unveiling, both companies announced that April 10th will be day in which both devices will be officially available and able to be picked up from retailers. Samsung's announcement of the date came during the initial launch while HTC's announcement came during a live streaming event in which HTC were announcing the launch of their Uh Oh protection plan for the One M9. Again, following on from this, both companies this week (again on the same day) decided to officially announce the ability of their devices to be pre-ordered. This resulted in a mass of reports and announcements coming down the wire from virtually all major carriers confirming their intention to carry, availability and pricing. Interestingly, reports also started to emerge that the devices are likely to reach owners prior to their April 10th date. At least, for those who pre-ordered the device early.
Well, already today, there has been the news that some T-Mobile pre-orders are reported to already being fulfilled, with devices now en route to their pre-order owners. With some advising of an expected delivery date of April 1st. Now, the latest news is that HTC devices are expected to begin shipping to customers who have pre-ordered, starting from Monday 30th March. It is being reported (source link below) that HTC have began emailing customers advising that shipping of One M9's will begin March 30th, with shipping of early orders expected to be completed by April 3rd. Either way, this will likely mean that those who have already ordered should certainly expect to receive their One M9's before the April 10th official availability date. If you have ordered, then keep an eye on your inbox over the next few days for your confirmation of shipping.
