Otterbox Announces their Lineup for the Samsung Galaxy S6

Since Samsung announced the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge earlier this week, we've been seeing case manufacturers left and right announcing case lineups for either, or both smartphones. This time it's Otterbox's turn. They are announcing an "astronomical lineup" of cases for the Galaxy S6. According to their press release, this is what we'll be seeing for the Galaxy S6:

"The wait is over. Samsung has revealed their most innovative device yet, the GALAXY S6. On the cusp of the newest Samsung era, OtterBox delivers on trusted protection with a full slate of case offerings, including Defender Series and Commuter Series, available now. The slim, stylish Symmetry Series line, Alpha Glass and Clearly Protected screen guards are also coming soon."

Otterbox cases are usually very bulky, but they really do a great job at protecting your device, and if you happen to be clumsy, or perhaps you're just rough with your phone, then this is a great case for you to pick up for the Galaxy S6. The Defender Series is their toughest case, and thus it's their thickest and bulkiest one. But it does have a nice holster, if you're into that. The Commuter case is a bit less bulky, and pretty much covers the back of the phone. While the symmetry series is the best looking case lineup Otterbox has.

About that Alpha Glass: "Alpha Glass keeps the vibrant GALAXY S6 screen safe from scratches and cracks, with a thin layer of fortified glass that maintains the truest touchscreen experience. Bubble-free and anti-shatter, Alpha Glass comes in Clear and Privacy options."

Keep in mind that these won't be cheap. The Defender series cases are usually around $60 or so. But when it comes to protection, Otterbox is right there at the top. So if you need some great protection on your Galaxy S6, then Otterbox is the way to go. After all that is a $700 smartphone, almost.
