HTC ha already announced their new flagship for 2015, the One M9. The announcement took place during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona earlier this month. The device is making its way to carriers as we speak, and it remains to be seen if it will manage to help the company increase their sales number, and along with that, their profit. Anyhow, this Taiwan-based smartphone OEM has been rather busy lately it seems. We've been seeing a lot of leaks and rumors referring to the HTC One M9+ and One E9, not to mention that the company has already scheduled a "More than One" event in Beijing for April 8th.
This Taiwanese smartphone OEM is expected to release the One M9+ handset at said event, and One E9 might make an appearance there as well, even though that device might be released sooner according to rumors. Both of these devices are flagship material, but we're not here to talk about them, not this time around anyhow. We're here to tackle a new rumor that surfaced in China, and it actually regards HTC-branded tablet. A new leak popped up, touting HTC's upcoming tablet. According to the information provided by @upleaks, this tablet is called the "T1H", that's at least its codename at the moment. Anyhow, the device will feature an 8.9-inch QXGA 2048 x 1530 display, 2GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal storage (depending on the version you decide to purchase, of course). Interestingly enough, the leaks says that this device will be powered by 28nm Allwinner H8 octa-core processor which ships with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. One would assume that HTC will opt for a Qualcomm or MediaTek chip, but they went a completely different way, at least according to the provided info. 16-megapixel camera will be located on the back of this device, and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed with HTC's Sense 7 UI on top of Google's OS. The HTC T1H will also be 7.88mm thick, and a 6,700mAh battery will also be a part of the package, same goes for HTC's BoomSound speakers.
The rumor also says that the tablet will be launched by the end of the second quarter this year in China, and that it will arrive in two different versions. One version will be named the HTC T1H Wi-Fi, and the other one HTC T1H LTE. The names speak for themselves here I guess. It remains to be seen how accurate this leak is, but it sounds interesting, no matter which way you spin this. The image provided down below is not connected to the spec leak, it surfaced in China though.
