Earlier this morning it was learned that Sony’s Xperia M4 Aqua device was listed up for pre-order on the German Amazon website. There were no dates listed but German citizens could purchase the pre-order for a total of €279.99, which was €20 less than the cost coming directly from Sony who listed the price at €299.99. Now it looks like another phone that was announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress event is going up for pre-order in the country, and this time it’s a flagship device. The all new HTC One M9.
Currently the HTC One M9 is available for pre-orders officially from HTC in Germany, set at a price of €749.99, and pre-orders for the HTC One M9 on HTC’s German site can be placed for either the gold, gold and silver, or gunmetal grey variations. Consumers in the region who are looking to get their hands on HTC’s One M8 successor will still have to wait a little while for the phone to launch, which is supposed to be early Spring, but at least they can place their pre-orders and have the payment and order process out of the way. The HTC One M9 is already being expected to be launched by the end of this month, which technically puts the date in early Spring, so the beliefs that it might show up the day before we march into April might not be too far off.
HTC has remained quiet on the actual release dates for the phone and they haven’t exactly confirmed any pricing details for specific regions either, however consumers can probably expect to pay somewhere around what they’re seeing for pre-order prices and price rumors. HTC’s All new One M9 will come packed with a 20MP rear facing camera sensor on the back this time around instead of the 4MP UltraPixel Duo Camera like on last year’s model, and at least the North American version will be running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor. Other than that much of the device is very similar, especially in design. It’s somewhat reasonable then to assume that with a similar design form factor and some similar specs that HTC will be looking to launch this new flagship with a similar price to its predecessor too.
