Google Hands Out Play Store Freebies With Original Transformers And Coldplay's Latest Album

Freebies are a good thing, and from time to time we'll see Google having deals and handing out free downloads of movies, music, games, and other apps. Today there are two things to look out for if you want to add some free digital content to your libraries, the original Transformers film, and the Coldplay's latest album called Ghost Stories. The original Transformers film is the massive blockbuster hit that started the craze of Transformers films in the theaters. With large explosions and giant fighting robots who could say no?

No doubt these free downloads are a limited time thing only, as they usually are, so if you don't already own both of these digital downloads or actual physical copies of the film and the album, we'd recommend taking advantage of it while you can. The original Transformers film is normally a $16.99 cost as this is the HD version of the film, which makes this even more of a steal. What's more is that since it's through Google Play Movies, playing the movie on the big screen has never been easier as you can simply fling the movie up onto the tv via Chromecast.

As for Coldplay's album, the cost on this was normally around $9.99, which nets you 9 tracks altogether which can either be streamed as long as you have a data connection, or it can be downloaded into your library for offline play whenever you don't. Chromecast is compatible with Play Music too of course, so if you have any of the new Google Cast enabled speakers, or a Chromecast you can fling the songs to the tv or to a compatible speaker. Both the movie and the music are part of Google's Play Store birthday celebration this week, and while these two deals are a couple of free gifts from Google to say thanks for being part of the Play Store experience these past few years, there are other deals included for quite cheap as well, like $2.99 films and other albums set at $0.99. If you aren't fond of the two free downloads, check out some of the cheap deals Google has up before the birthday celebration is done with.
