Following the announcement earlier today from EE that they would be carrying the all new HTC One M9, which comes with a 5-inch Full HD display and a 20MP rear facing camera, EE is announcing that they will also be carrying the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge later on this Spring. There hasn’t been any official dates mentioned just yet, so customers on EE will have to wait to find out the exact times for availability as well as exact times for pricing. There are however some unofficial rumored prices for the Samsung Galaxy S6 in the UK, so that at least gives consumers some reference as to what they should expect to pay when the phones launch on EE’s network. The price that has been rumored as of this morning is £699 for the 32GB model, which was listed from a marked down price of £829. Keep in mind these prices are just a rumor so there’s no telling if they will be near this price point or not officially at launch.
In addition to announcing that they’ll be carrying both of Samsung’s new devices, EE is stating that both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge will be fully optimized for and equipped to handle EE’s super fast 4G network, which will be capable of providing download speeds of up to 150Mbps. This is in part due to the integration of the LTE Cat 6 support in both handsets, which better ensures a connection to EE’s fast 4G network according to EE.
Ee is also going to be launching a WiFi calling feature, which they state will come to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, but notes that those two devices purchased directly from EE retail locations will be among the first to support the WiFi calling feature when it becomes available, giving consumers incentive to buy directly from EE as opposed to other sources. Both devices will also be available from EE in four different colors, which are Black, White, Gold, and Blue for the Samsung Galaxy S6, and Black, White, Gold, and Green for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. In addition to these devices in a variety of different colors, EE will be offering a selection of official Samsung accessories for both devices, including the wireless charging pad for the all new built in wireless charging feature of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, which is a first time feature for Samsung devices. Although official details on availability and pricing are not yet known, interested business and consumer customers can pre-register to find out all the details when they become available by heading to this link to learn more.
