Coolpad is a Chinese smartphone and tablet manufacturer, and even though they don't manufacture a ton of devices each year, you've probably heard about them at one point or another. Coolpad has released their long-rumored Dazen X7 handset back in January, this handset was overhyped prior to its launch, we've seen all kinds of crazy rumors and what not. The Dazen X7 is a solid device which is rather affordable and well-built, it has been available in China for a while now. Coolpad has actually released this device in a couple of different versions, if you'd like to know more about it, click here in order to check out our announcement article. As a side note, this company has also released the thinnest smartphone in the world earlier this year, the IVVI K1 Mini.
We're not here to talk about the Dazen X7, but a new device that the company plans to release soon. We haven't heard anything from Coolpad in quite a while now, but they've released a new teaser image via social media in China. It seems like they will announce a new Dazen device on March 19th. The teaser image isn't all that revealing, but that was to be expected, the company is, however, trying to tease great battery life on this device it seems. If you take a look at the image, you'll notice what seems to be a rather odd powerbank with two microUSB ports on it, which might be an indication of a great battery life in their upcoming smartphone. We haven't heard anything about this device thus far, so it's basically a complete mystery at the moment.
It is, of course, possible that the company plans to release a powerbank and not a smartphone, but that's highly unlikely. This is obviously a teaser image, I doubt the company would just flat out show us the image of the unannounced product, besides, this powerbank is curved and... well, it's highly unlikely we'll see something like that announced. A new Coolpad-branded smartphone is our best guess, what are your thoughts here, what do you think this Chinese smartphone manufacturer will announce on March 19th? Let us know what you think in the comments, we'd love to hear what you have to say.
