Xiaomi To Announce New Hardware In February And March; Mysterious Xiaomi Handset Receives Radio Certification

Xiaomi has started off this year with a bang. The company has announced a slew of new devices in January and it seems like they have no intention to slow down. This China-based smartphone vendor has announced the Redmi 2, Mi Note and Mi Note Pro handsets next month, along with a couple of other smart gadgets. Well, according to Donovan Sung, Xiaomi's Head of International Product Development, Xiaomi will won't stop here. It seems like the company intends to announce some hardware in February and March as well. He didn't give out any details, of course, but we can always guess on what will Xiaomi announce. The new iteration of Mi TV is a possibility, same goes for the Mi Pad tablet. Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 could also appear in the next month or two, and the rumored Leadcore-powered extremely affordable Xiaomi smartphone is also one of the devices this company might announce soon.

Speaking of announcements, a new Xiaomi-branded device has received radio certification in China. According to the listing, this device will be China-only though, unfortunately, it will support GSM, TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE bands. Along with that, the handset will equip a dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity as well (both 2.4 and 5.0GHz). This radio certification doesn't exactly give us any more details, unfortunately. I'd rather stay away from guessing which device is this, but I'm guessing some of the already released handsets for the Chinese market, but I guess we'll find out rather soon. In the meantime, we're waiting for Xiaomi to announce their international plans. Company's CEO has announced that they will announce their expansion plans in February, so we're eagerly awaiting to see what is Xiaomi planning for the rest of this year in terms of international moves. I'm guessing they'll announce further expansion in Asia (South-East portion), as well as India and Brazil expansions. Other Latin American countries are also a possibility, while Russia has also been mentioned several times before.

That's all, we'll know everything soon I guess. What are your thoughts here, what devices will Xiaomi announce in February and March? Let us know what you think in the comments, we'd love to hear from you.
