Today, Sony released a video demonstrating the usefulness of its Xperia line of smartphones and tablets for business use. Sony has recently been pushing its brand as a brand for professionals, a spotlight Blackberry occupied for years before the rise of Android smartphones. And indeed, there are many features that make its phone’s ideal for business use.

In the video, Sony showed off the Xperia M2 Aqua as well as the Sony Xperia Z3. As highlighted in the video, Xperia phones and tablets provide users with an excellent set of productivity apps, cloud services, device management solutions, and integration with exchange services. It highlights the high level of craftsmanship and even security offered by Sony’s smartphone and tablet offerings. The battery life of the Xperia Z3 handset also offers a much better experience than most smartphones, with its 2-day battery life. The latest devices are also water and dust-proof.

Next month at MWC 2015, Sony plans to release several new products. While the highly anticipated Sony Xperia Z4 was at first expected to be among these, it is now expected to be unveiled this summer instead. Rumor has it that the phone will boast a 21-megapixel sensor as well as a host of other features. It will also apparently come in several variants. These include versions that vary in size, as well as versions that vary in features such as a walkman-like version for audiophiles as well as a dual-SIM option. We’re mostly unsure as to which of these phones will be available outside of Japan.

Sony decided to delay its smartphone unveiling for whatever reason, some believe in order to create the best possible product. While that may be hard to believe, Sony is still planning a press conference during MWC next month. At least three mid-range devices are expected to be unveiled at the event.

Sony’s website “Xperia in Business” has links and information on many devices it recommends for business use. This includes its latest phones, as well as more dated options. Whether you’re a business user or a more casual user, Sony Xperia phones new and old are definitely an option to be considered.
