Slide Brace X1 Is iBall's Newest Tablet Offering For The Indian Market; Xotic Smartphone On The Way As Well

iBall is an India-based electronics company which, among other things, manufactures smartphones and tablets. The new member of company's "Slide" brand will arrive soon and we're here to introduce it, same goes for their new Xotic smartphone. The Slide Brace X1 tablet has appeared on the company's official Indian website, while the Xotic smartphone has been revealed by the Indian retailer Mahesh Telecom. Let's see what these two devices have to offer, shall we.

The iBall Slide Brace is a rather interesting tablet offering by the company, if you take a look at the image above, you'll see what I'm talking about. This device is rather oddly shaped for a tablet, but that's part of its appeal I guess. It has that hinge at the back which makes it possible for you to set it on a flat surface and watch a video for example, which can come in handy. Not many people will love the part that hinge attaches to though, it's rather big and definitely not for everyone. That being said, this tablet features a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display along with 2GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 16GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card). This thing is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor (quite probably a MediaTek chip) and it will ship with a 7,800mAh battery. 13-megapixel camera is located at the back of this tablet, and an 8-megapixel snapper is available up front. Android 4.4 KitKat will come pre-installed on this tablet, and Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth and microUSB are all part of the package as well, of course.

We don't have nearly as much info on the iBall Xotic smartphone though. All we know thus far is that this device will sport 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, while expandable memory is also a possibility. Anyhow, the Slide Brace X1 tablet will come in Silver color, while the Xotic smartphone will be available in Black only. Both of these devices will be available soon, and the smartphone will cost Rs. 7,999 ($129), we still don't know the pricing of the tablet though.
