Samsung Launches 'Good For Samsung KNOX' To Accelerate Enterprise Android Device Adoption

Over the last couple of years Samsung has been making a big push into the market of mobile security with their KNOX security software that is built into their devices, and today they launched a new partnership with another leader in the secure mobility field, Good Technology, which aims to bring even more security to enterprise device users and government agencies through the launch of Good for Samsung KNOX. The idea is to bring the capability for those who use enterprise devices or devices with a government agency to download apps that are secure enough to run on the Samsung KNOX platform, and that's where Good's mobile security container and app ecosystem come in.

Good for Samsung KNOX while heavily focused on delivering a defense grade security platform to mobile device users in the enterprise and government sectors, makes it possible for Samsung to deliver and accelerated process for adopting the enterprise Android platform, so if any companies or government agencies are looking to shift to using an Android device for employees, this new mobile security partnership offers up a solution. Good Technology's secure app container  platform is the first to be integrated directly into Samsung KNOX, providing a secure solution for mobile productivity.

It shouldn't surprise that Samsung entered into a partnership with Good Technology as Samsung takes their security platform seriously, and Good Technology is trusted in 100% of the Fortune 100 commercial banks and aerospace and defense agencies according to the chairman and CEO of Good Christy Wyatt. With the two platforms working together, enterprise Android productivity can be taken to the next level regardless of the device type, meaning the platform is compatible with corporate liable, corporate-owned and personally enabled, and bring your own device setups. Now with Good for Samsung KNOX having launched, we might start to see a faster adoption rate of Android-based secure devices in enterprise and government areas. If you're already using a Samsung KNOX based device with the company you currently work for, we'd imagine that the software might be integrated through the process of a software update, although it wasn't specifically mentioned. Going forward, all new Samsung devices that are KNOX certified will likely hold the Good for Samsung KNOX platform.
