Samsung Galaxy S6 Wireless Charging Confirmed Out of the Box by ZENS Qi

The journey of a phone from development to announcement is always a fun one.  Some smaller devices never even see the light of day in the rumor mill while others seem to have endless stories and leaks.  Samsung's Galaxy S6 is one such phone that seems to have leaks on the hour, every hour, and now we've got one that's officially confirmed by one of Samsung's hardware partners.  ZENS has been around for a while now and makes wireless chargers that work with the Qi wireless charging standard.  Since Samsung has called 2015 the year of wireless charging we knew they had to have something big up their sleeve, and this definitely qualifies as that.

In accordance with tradition of sending out press releases right before a big event, ZENS has released a new Qi wireless charger that's fully compatible with the Galaxy S6.  What's notable on this press release is that ZENS specifically says the Galaxy S6 comes with wireless charging build into the phone, so every owner of a Galaxy S6 automatically has the option for wireless charging at their fingertips.  This is a breakaway from previous generations of Galaxy phones where wireless charging backs were provided but at an additional cost.  Samsung isn't new to the wireless charging game but having it ready to go out of the box as the Nexus lineup and a few other phones have had for a while now really changes things.

ZENS new chargers come in a variety of different form factors and are all designed to charge your phone wirelessly without hassle.  ZENS makes a single phone wireless charger and a dual phone wireless charger, both of which are designed to sit at a desk and let your phone charge while it's idle.  The best part of having a wireless charger on your desk may not even be the lack of wires all over the place, but rather taking advantage of Android's Daydream functionality to turn your phone into a desk clock, weather station or a moving work of art.  In addition to this ZENS has a car charger that fits in the cup holder of most vehicles while the phone slips inside for easy and safe storage and charging.  Pair this with a Bluetooth head unit in your car and you'll never worry about plugging in your phone again.
