Samsung Galaxy A3 And A5 Are Now Available For Purchase In The UK

Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 handsets are company's mid-range offerings which have been originally announced back in October 2014. These two handsets follow Galaxy Alpha's design language, they are built out of plastic but sport metallic trim, which makes them really sleek in a way. These handsets have already been launched in certain parts of the world and are available for purchase, and both of them have finally reached the UK.

Let's start with the Galaxy A3 here, this handset is available for purchase SIM-free directly from Samsung for £249, and you can also get it from Carphone Warehouse's tariffs page, which will cost you roughly £22-33 per month. This handset is also available for purchase from Vodafone, EE and O2. Should you opt for the Galaxy A5, that will cost you £349 if you decide to get it from Samsung, and £26-33 per month via Carphone Warehouse's tariffs page with no up-front cost. The Galaxy A5 is also available from Vodafone, EE and O2. In case you want to get either of these two handsets in silver color, O2 is your only choice though.

As far as specs go, these two handsets are significantly different. The Galaxy A3 features a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 display along with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 64GB). This handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 SoC, a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz which ships with an Adreno 306 GPU. 8 and 5-megapixel cameras are available on this device, on its back and front side, respectively. The Galaxy A3 ships with Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed with Samsung's TouchWiz on top of it, just like the Galaxy A5. The A5, however, features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (also expandable up to 64GB). 13 and 5-megapixel snappers are available on its back and front, respectively.

There you have it folks, those of you who are interested in getting either of these handsets in the UK, you can do that now. Both of these handsets are available from a variety of different sources, as mentioned above. Let us know if you decide to get either of these Samsung devices.
