Motorola Hand Delivering a Box on Wednesday to Members of the Press

Instead of going to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, it appears Motorola is doing an announcement an interestingly and different way. Motorola emailed members of the press today, including us, about an "exciting announcement from Motorola". This announcement will take place on Wednesday, February 25th, and Motorola will be delivering a box to members of the press. There's no indication of what it might be, but as others have noted, it definitely seems to early for a new Moto X, or Moto G. But it could be a Moto E (which we've seen leaked and rumored for a bit) or a new Moto 360 or a wearable. Or it could be something completely different like VR. Which is what most people's bets are on. Whatever it is, Motorola says that the product can fit in the box, so we'll have to wait and see what it is.

This would be Motorola's first announcement since the Lenovo deal was finalized late last year. If it is VR, it'll be interesting to see what Motorola is doing differently compared to Google, Samsung and LG. Google just used cardboard for their VR, while Samsung has their own unit that's a bit more expensive and really only works with the Galaxy Note 4. LG has partnered with Google to bring Cardboard to the LG G3. So what will Motorola do? We'll have to wait til Wednesday to find out.

It's interesting to see how Motorola is doing this announcement. Not really telling us anything about this announcement, other than it'll fit in a box that we are being shipped. Definitely has us interested in seeing what Motorola has in store next week. Make sure you keep your browser locked to Android Headlines for all the details on what Motorola might be announcing next week on Wednesday. We'll be sure to let you know as soon as we do.

So what do you think Motorola has in store for us next week? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
