iBall Announces The Andi 5M Xotic In India, Complete With A 5" qHD display And 2GB Of RAM

After launching a new mid-range smartphone and tablet in India, iBall is back with yet another smartphone launch, the Andi 5M Xotic handset. This time the company unveiled another mid-ranger which actually offers a solid set of specs. For those of you who don't know this, iBall is a very well-known smartphone and tablet manufacturer in India, they're actually one of the top tablet manufacturers over there. That being said, let's see what this handset has to offer.

The iBall Andi 5M Xotic handset features a 5-inch qHD (960 x 540) IPS display along with 2GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB in case you need more storage space. This device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, its brand wasn't listed, but we're talking about a MediaTek unit here most probably. 8-megapixel snapper is located on the back of this device (BSI sensor), and is flanked by a dual LED flash. A 3.2-megapixel camera is available up front for your selfie and video call needs. This is a dual SIM device, and it ships with a 2,000mAh battery. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device, and Android 5.0 Lollipop is on the way according to the company. As far as connectivity goes, you get 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS here, so the 4G LTE is not available. 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and the usual array of sensors are, of course, also a part of this package.

The oddly-named iBall Andi 5M Xotic smartphone comes in black color only, and is priced at Rs. 8950. The device will be available for purchase online soon, the specific date wasn't mentioned, but you can expect it in the next couple of weeks. It is also worth mentioning that you'll get a free flip cover along with this device. Now that we got that out of the way, let us know what you think about this device in the comments. For those of you who live in India, and are looking for something affordable, this might be the device you'd want to consider.
