Pandora Gets a slicker UI

For those of you that use Pandora, you've probably noticed the newer UI that they've put in their latest update. It actually looks really great. Additionally, their notifications can be included in Google Now (which isn't part of the update, but that did happen this week). So theres that.

NBA All-Star App Released for All Star Weekend

We're approaching All Star weekend in the NBA, which is taking place in NYC this year. There's all kinds of amazing features with the apps, but perhaps the most interesting is the fact that they have directions on how to get there inside the App. Which is something we've seen other sports doing for their All Star festivities as well as their championship games.

WhatsApp Rolling out Voice Calling Functionality in India

This week, WhatsApp started rolling out voice calling functionality over in India. While we'll likely see it hit the rest of the world very soon, it's still nice to see it launch in India and hopefully work flawlessly. How many apps do we need that can make calls though? That's my question.


theScore launches an eSports App

The Canadian Sports app, theScore, this week launched an eSports app, simply named theScore eSports. eSports are games like Dota 2 and League of Legends that attract a ton of people, over 70 million actually. And theScore attempts to be the first media company to go all in with eSports.

Swype updates with free material light and dark themes

Months after their biggest competitor added material themes, now Swype is getting into that game. This week, they released free material light and dark themes for their keyboard. So users can now have a material look and feel on this great keyboard. You can grab it from the Play Store now. That's really all this update brings though.
