Xolo is a rather young company, an India-based smartphone manufacturer which specialized in making low and mid-range handsets basically. The company has recently launched the Omega 5.0 and 5.5 handsets in India and now they're back with yet another device. Xolo has just announced the Q700 Club handset, which is actually this company's first phone to sport water and dust resistance, we're talking about IP55 rating here. So, let's check out what else this handset has to offer.
The Q700 Club features a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 IPS display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which you can expand via microSD card up to 32GB. MediaTek's MT6582M quad-core chip clocked at 1.3GHz is powering on this handset along with Mali-400 MP2 GPU for graphics rendering. There are two cameras available on this handset, the 5-megapixel shooter is available on the back, and the 0.3-megapixel snapper is located on the front of this device. LED flash is available on the back as well and we're talking about a Dual-SIM handset here (GSM + GSM). As I already mentioned, this handset has IP55 rating for dust and water resistance and it ships with a 2,000mAh battery. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed here and the device measures 134.6 x 67 x 10.8mm. Dual front speakers are also available on this device, which many will appreciate, I'm sure. As far as connectivity goes, this handset comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and DTS 3G HSPA+ options, with GPS being available as well, of course.
This handset will be available soon in Black and White color options and is priced at Rs. 6,999. This is a solid offering by Xolo, as are most of their handsets, but those of you who really like to push your devices will be disappointed here. This handset isn't meant to be a high-end device, nor does it pretend to be that, but a solid mid-ranger which I bet many people will appreciate. Front-facing speakers and water and dust resistance are definitely a plus for this handset. What are your thoughts here, do you like this handset and have you ever had a chance to use a Xolo phone?
