Xiaomi Mi Note Sold Out In Under 3 Minutes In China, New Batch Arrives On February 3rd

Xiaomi wants to sell 100 million handsets this year and completely crush their sales results from last year. The company has already announced a bunch of devices this year, starting with the Redmi 2 affordable smartphone on January 4th, and Mi Note, Mi Note Pro, Mi Headphones and Mi Box Mini on January 15. The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro handsets are the company's newest flagship phablets, and one of them went on sale today after a week of reservations.

The company has sold out every single Mi Note unit within three minutes, and according to reports, the company has offered a significant amount of these devices today. They haven't given us the exact numbers of the offered devices, but it seems like there were a lot of them. It took Xiaomi three minutes to sell out everything they got, and company's VP said that over 220 million people signed up for this flash sale. I hope they'll release the exact numbers soon, though I really doubt that. Another batch of Mi Note devices will be available for sale a week from today, on February first, so if you live in China and are interested, I suggest you go to Xiaomi's official page and make a reservation for that flash sale. As a reminder, the Mi Note Pro handset probably won't go on sale until the end of March, so if you're holding out for that device, you might be in for a long wait.

The Mi Note features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 16 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. This device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and ships with an Adreno 330 GPU for graphics. 13-megapixel camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and dual-LED, dual tone flash is located on the back of this device, and a 4-megapixel (2um pixel size) camera is available up front. 3,000mAh battery ships with this device and the handset itself measures 155.1 x 77.6 x 6.9mm while it weighs 161 grams. That being said, did you manage to get a copy of this handset, or are you waiting for the Mi Note Pro to become available?
