Xiaomi’s press event is over, but we’re getting some additional post-event information, which we’ll sort out in this article. First thing’s first, Xiaomi has announced 4 new devices at this event, the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro are company’s new phablets, I can even say flagship phablets. This China-based company has also announced the Mi Box Mini, a successor to the Mi Box, and a Mi Headphones, which are kind of self-explanatory. We’ve covered all of these devices separately already, so visit our page and check out that coverage if you’d like.

We’re here to talk about pricing and release dates for the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro. Xiaomi did reveal at the event that the Mi Note will be available for purchase on January 27, but we did get some additional information after the event. Both of these devices, the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro, will be available for pre-order on January 20th in China, and both of them will be available for purchase on January 27. This is just great for Chinese consumers, I assumed that the Snapdragon 810 version of the device (Mi Note Pro) will be available in a month or two, but Xiaomi surprised us all and announced that both versions of the device will go on sale at the same time. Regarding the pricing, the Mi Note will be available in 16 and 64GB variants and will cost 2,299 Yuan ($371) and 2,799 Yuan ($451) respectively. The Mi Note Pro, on the other hand, will be available in a 64GB version only and will set you back 3,299 Yuan ($532), should you choose to purchase it.

Both of these handsets look the same, but their specifications are somewhat different. The Mi Note features a 5.7-inch 1080p display and 3GB of RAM, while the Mi Note Pro sports a 5.7-inch 2K display and comes with 4GB of RAM. They will both come with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed though and will sport the same version of MIUI on top of it. 13-megapixel rear-facing and 4-megapixel front-facing cameras are available on both of these phablets.
