Out of all U.S. carriers, Verizon is rather dependant on the CDMA network standards, unlike other carriers which make use of the GSM technology which is far more popular in the world. This unfortunately means that Verizon gets some international devices last, though the carrier did have some great exclusives in the past, like the Motorola Droid like. Verizon does its best to deliver every handset as fast as possible, but that's sometimes hard to do thanks to their CDMA dependance. Anyhow, a new report has just landed which brings forth some great news for those of you who are looking to get your hands on the Galaxy Note Edge and the Nexus 6 via Verizon.
According to an unnamed tipster (which is allegedly provided legitimate information many times before), Phandroid shared some info regarding these two devices and their arrival to Verizon Wireless' lineup. According to the leak, the Galaxy Note Edge will land on January 8th. The tipster also claims that the device will cost $399 on a 2-year contract and $33.32 per month on Verizon's Edge installment-based payment plan. If you're looking to get the device off-contract, it will cost you $799, if this information is to be believed. One of the two Japanese version of this device is CDMA-based, so that probably made things easier for Verizon.
The tipster also mentioned that the Nexus 6 won't launch on Verizon until mid-February, which is a shame for those of you who are looking to get this device from Verizon on-contract. You can use the unlocked version on Verizon's network of course, in case you were thinking of buying the device elsewhere. We have no way of confirming either of these leaks and will have to believe the tip I guess. In case this info pans out, these are great news for those of you who are interested in either of these handsets. So, get your money ready and wait, it shouldn't be long now, especially as far as the Galaxy Note Edge is concerned, only a couple more days until it's launched according to this leak. Anyone interested in getting either of these devices from Verizon?
