RadPad refers to themselves as "the Instagram-meets-Craigslist service for finding an apartment." Long the top app for iOS when it comes to looking for a place to rent, it has finally come to the tens of millions of renters in the US using an Android smartphone. The app, now in the Play Store, will help put you in touch with more than 600,000 active rental listings across the US. You can look for a quiet place in the suburbs or in the heart of downtown - you can find it on RadPad.
RadPad claims that they are "obsessed" with finding you the right apartment or house to rent from more than 600,000 listings - listings that have been verified by carefully separating the legitimate property owners from those that are not. They use technology that is similar to the sophisticated algorithms for detecting credit card frauds for detecting scammers from accessing and using RadPad. RadPad is serious about keeping you safe and placing you with a legitimate rental listing.
RadPad has several features that separate them from simple 'apartment finders.' Every listing with RadPad requires no less than three HD photos, and the places I searched for generally had many more than three. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and that is never truer than when you are looking for a place to live. The pictures give you a chance to 'weed out' places that you would otherwise waste your time driving to check-out. Once you find a place, RadPad also uses real-time messaging - no more personal email - that connects you directly with the landlord right from within your RadPad app.
The app also employs a swipe and touch search method that makes it easy and intuitive to use. I loaded the app and within a minute I was searching for places in my area - go to the map area, select a location, and RadApp immediately brought up apartments only within a certain radius of the location I chose. RadApp's DriveTime feature will then tell you how long it will take to drive, take a bus, ride your bike or walk from your new apartment to wherever it is that you want to go.
RadPad also allows you to pay your rent with either your Credit or Debit card to ANY landlord. If you are tired of writing checks - I can't even remember that last time that I did write one - with RadPad you can use your Debit or Credit card to set up a secure rent payment...even if your landlord does not use RadPad. RadPad's 100-percent Rent Guarantee covers all rent payments, so you will never be late for another rent payment or have to pay a late fee. It is also cheaper than PayPal, Square or Venmo - then is no charge when you use your Debit card and only 2.99-percent for using a Credit card. Each month your landlord receives a check in the mail with your name, address and phone number. Your are in complete control and can easily change how you pay your rent or who you pay and RadPad stores your rent payment history. Push and email notifications always keep you in the know of what is going on with your payment action.
